Notre Dame head football coach Charlie Weis, along with several other NCAA football coaches (including T. Tuberville of Auburn, M. Richt of UGA and R. Shannon of Miami), payed a visit to our servicemen and women stationed overseas last week, as part of a goodwill trip.
Weis kept a diary of the visit, and in one of his entries, noted that you could use a Sharpie pen to write a message on a bomb that will or should be eventually dropped on (hopefully) Osama bin Laden.
Weis, ever the scribe, wrote:
“You will lose. Go Irish.”
I can just hear 80,795 blue and gold-clad fans chanting “Goooooooo Irish! Beeeeeeeat Al-Qaeda!”
I’d rather beat them than Southern Cal.
